Aperture :P

This lesson we were with Tom and we were working on aperture of f.numbers. We were looking at the difference it can make to a picture and learning what to use it for. A small aperture is usually for close up shots and used quite a lot in nature shots. It is used to separate the subject from the background. A larger aperture is usually used to get the whole picture in focus. it is usually used for landscapes.

This image was taken with an aperture of 3.1 and as you can see the one side of the headphones is in focus while all the rest is blurred, making the skulls the main focus of your attention.

This picture was taken with an aperture of 11 and you can see the difference. all of the picture is in focus, which means that there is no definite focal point for the viewer.
